[Filtered to Hakkai and Sanzo]

I told my family about my plans to adopt Ran. I know that it's not for sure until the Chinese government gives their approval, but I felt that the process is far enough along that I could share it with them. Everyone was really excited about it. My mother yelled at me for not telling her the good news sooner.

The family left today to go back to Kansas today. I had a great time while they were here. I hosted everyone for the Christmas holiday: Mom, Dad, Nate, Lauren, and my nephew Ryan. It was fun having them all here. I made dinner for everyone. I wish I could say I did it all myself, but Mom and Lauren insisted on helping, and to be honest, I was kinda grateful for the help. I've never made a big dinner like that before.

Ryan was adorable on Christmas morning opening his presents. The kid's face was filled with pure joy as he ripped the paper off of his gifts. He's young enough that the gifts themselves aren't all that important; he just likes tearing the paper off. I let him rip the paper off of some of mine, too.

Oh man. Its been so long I don't even know what to say. Of course, it doesn't feel that way to me. Feels like I just took an extra long vacation but apparently its like what, 6 months has gone by?

I'm sorry to have left you all for so long. :/ It wasn't on purpose of course, John explained it. We got stuck on a planet (rather nice one at that) and it goes a bit over my head really, but apparently we were out of time.

*sighs* I guess I have a lot to catch up on now don't I?

Okay, lemme tell you about this past month. Six months. Whatever. Point being: this has been one frelled up and, dare I say, fun little trip to Gilligan's Island.

I mean, stuck on a planet that was hovering just outside of time doesn't exactly sound like a walk in the park but when you get down to it... it was me, Martha, and the Moya crew on a beach. Got a great tan, did a lot of fishing, spent time with my girl. Six months of not having our asses chased by anyone. I mean, the whole time passage thing was kind of weird - three weeks for us, six months for the rest of the universe. But I could handle that kind of vacation every once in a while.

Things are back to normal around here, kind of. Prue's not a dog anymore, and Phoebe's not a banshee anymore. Cole threatened to kill me, but he did give me a chance to escape rather than killing me right away. I tried to kill him, but our vanquishing potion doesn't work on him anymore. He's done something to protect himself magically.

Phoebe's gone from wanting to kill Cole herself to wanting to save him again. *sigh*

Prue got fleas from being a dog. *snickers* We had to buy her flea shampoo.

We got the bill from the window repair guy after Phoebe's scream shattered all of the windows in the conservatory. I think we single-handedly keep him in business. I might have to think about raising drink prices at P3 or something.

Thank you all for the wonderful gifts! My family and I love them. :D
